UT Health East Texas Physicians Welcomes Khushboo Verma, MD, to Tyler
Tyler, Texas (September 12, 2025) — UT Health East Texas Physicians is expanding neurology services in Tyler with the addition of Khushboo Verma, MD.
“My care philosophy is centered on holistic comprehensive care that sees each individual as a whole and not just the issues they bring to the clinic,” Dr. Verma said. “As a dementia specialist, I also prioritize the well-being of caregivers because strong family support is essential to patient outcomes.”
Dr. Verma said growing up, she was inspired to pursue healthcare by her grandfather, a surgeon, and often accompanied him to patient visits, seeing firsthand how he treated people like family. She said his compassion and bedside manner left a lasting impression that shaped her belief that meaningful clinical care comes from truly caring for patients.
“My focus is dementia care, motivated by personal experience with my grandparents who lived with the disease,” she said. “I aim to provide comprehensive support to patients and families, showing that meaningful interventions and guidance can make a real difference.”
In addition to English, Dr. Verma is fluent in Hindi, Flemish Dutch, Urdu, Punjabi and Gujarati.
Dr. Verma is welcoming patients at 11937 US Hwy. 271 in Tyler. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 903-877-7826.

I don’t usually get on here and write things like this, but I just had to for Dr Verma.I have been to alot of doctors in my life and I have never seen a more thorough doctor than her not even close.
She spent almost two hours with me, really listening, asking questions, looking over my papers and tests and explaing things so I could understand it. She never made me feel rushed or like I was a bother. Her staff was real kind too, helped me with my forms and all.Dr Verma is so smart but also so gentle and kind, you can tell she truly cares about folks. I walked out of there feeling heard and hopeful for the first time in a long while. East Texas is blessed to have her here.
