UT Health East Texas Expands Access to Care with New Facility in Whitehouse
Building on Highway 110 will feature family medicine providers
Whitehouse, Texas (August 25, 2026) — UT Health East Texas is expanding access to high-quality healthcare with a new, state-of-the-art facility that is under cosntruction in Whitehouse. The more than 11,000-square-foot clinic, located on Highway 110, is designed to meet the growing needs of families in southern Smith County.
“This location is situated along a growth corridor in southeastern Smith County,” said Steven Cox, MD, UT Tyler School of Medicine Faculty Practice Plan President. “As our community expands, we remain committed to meeting the increasing demand for quality healthcare close to home. This investment ensures that families in this area have convenient access to the care they need, when they need it.”
Located at 710 Highway 110 N., next to the Taco Bell, the facility will house six family medicine providers and feature on-site X-ray and laboratory services, offering patients a convenient, one-stop destination for comprehensive care.
“Our goal is to make healthcare more accessible and convenient for the communities we serve,” said Jason Boyd, chief operating officer of UT Health East Texas Physicians. “By bringing multiple services under one roof, we’re able to streamline the patient experience and deliver timely, coordinated care closer to home.”
In addition to treating illness and providing preventive annual wellness visits, providers at the clinic will offer a range of services, including joint injections and minor procedures such as stitches and wart removal. Walk-in appointments will also be accommodated as availability allows.
