Without women at the table where decisions are being made, negotiations tend to focus narrowly on power positioning among men rather than broader societal needs, especially when it comes to the rights and laws concerning women, children, and other marginalized groups.

CELEBRATIONS
Mount Vernon Music Celebrates 20th Anniversary

A small group of professional classical musicians began gathering in Mount Vernon Music Hall in 2006 and have now done more than 200 concerts there. In addition, their nonprofit organization serves Northeast Texas communities with entertainment and education in long-term care facilities and schools and offers scholarships to help aspiring young musicians. READ MORE about the organization and find the schedule to attend their performances.
