Today a small number of Republicans are trying to cut a deal with a Democrat majority coalition to elect a more moderate speaker of the Texas House. Republicans are coming together to push back and we should all be grateful for so many who are putting past conflicts behind them and working to build the necessary bridges to lead to a successful legislative session for the people of Texas.
