TYLER, TEXAS, September 23, 2024 —The American Red Cross East Texas Chapter is excited to announce the completion of a major remodel of its office building after 40 years of service. The Red Cross invites the community to attend and celebrate the remodel at an Open House event on September 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This all-day event will feature several highlights:

  • Chamber Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Join us at 11:30 a.m. for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Chamber of Commerce. We are honored to have the Mayor of Tyler, Don Warren and Smith County Judge Neal Franklin in attendance to commemorate this exciting new chapter for our organization.
  • Blood Drive: Starting at 10:30 a.m., we encourage everyone to participate in our blood drive. To schedule your appointment, please visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: ARCTYLER to schedule an appointment.

Throughout the event, guests will have the opportunity to connect with Red Cross staff and volunteers, explore all lines of service—including Disaster Cycle Services, Blood Services, Service to the Armed Forces, Training Services and International Services—and even learn life-saving skills with hands-only CPR and “Be Red Cross Ready” training.

Light refreshments will be available, and guests will have the chance to win hourly door prizes.
