Incapacitating Injuries: Transported to UT Health Hospital in Quitman, Texas
Preliminary investigation indicates that vehicle 2 was traveling west on FM 779 and vehicle 1 was traveling east on FM 779. Vehicle 2 traveled into the oncoming lane and collided with vehicle 1 head on. This investigation is still ongoing.

In the end, what matters most is not who was responsible, but that lives were lost. Hopefully we all learn from whatever mistakes were made without making judgements, but rather having empathy.
