National Average Gas Price Spikes to $4/gal, First Time Since 2008

This evening, for the first time since 2008, the national average price of gas in the U.S. has surpassed $4 per gallon. Just in the last week, gas prices have spiked 41 cents per gallon, narrowly missing the record weekly spike. On Friday alone, the national average rose 15 cents.
