UT Health East Texas Opens Outpatient Rehabilitation Center Focused on Sports Injuries

Tyler, Texas (April 9, 2026) – A new outpatient sports medicine rehabilitation center designed to serve athletes and active individuals is now open on Highland Lane, conveniently located near Three Lakes Parkway.

The new facility specializes in advanced, sports medicine-focused physical therapy, providing patients with high-quality care close to home. The center is staffed by experienced physical therapists Suzanne Castles, PT, DPT, CMPT, LAT, ATC, and Matt Schimpf, PT, DPT, SCS, MS, who bring specialized training in sports medicine and a shared focus on athletic recovery, injury rehabilitation and performance optimization.

The clinic is equipped with both general and specialized rehabilitation tools, including a state-of-the-art AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, which supports advanced training and recovery by reducing impact during exercise.

Located inside the new Fusion Athletic Club, the center is conveniently located near the UT Health East Texas Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute on Three Lakes Parkway, enhancing the continuum of care by connecting patients with comprehensive orthopedic and rehabilitation services in one area.
