AgriLife Extension webinar open to applicators across the state

The Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Overton will host a virtual pesticide continuing education units program on March 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The webinar will feature morning and afternoon sessions and include an hour-and-a-half break for lunch. The cost of the webinar is $35. Register at tx.ag/OvertonVirtualPesticideProgram. Registration is available until 4 p.m. on March 5.

About the course

Participants will receive five Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide continuing education units — one laws and regulations, two integrated pest management and two general.

Topics offered include:

Morning session — 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Afternoon session — 1-3 p.m.

  • Mosquitoes of Texas: the good, the bad, the ugly, Gabe Hamer, Ph.D., Texas A&M AgriLife Research entomologist and professor, Department of Entomology, Bryan-College Station.
  • Integrated weed management in pastures and hay meadows, Corriher-Olson.
