SFA Gardens lecture to feature fourth generation nurseryman

Kadin Bieberich

SFA Gardens’ monthly Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series will feature a presentation by Kadin Bieberich, head propagator and retail sales manager at Sunshine Nursery in Clinton, Oklahoma, at 7 p.m. November 12th in the Brundrett Conservation Education Building at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center. Kadin will present, “Trees you need, but you don’t know it yet.”

Kadin Bieberich is a fourth-generation nurseryman from Clinton, Oklahoma, who developed his passion for horticulture working alongside his father and grandfather at Sunshine Nursery. His primary focus is plant propagation, particularly evaluating rootstock suitability for the dry, alkaline soils of the Southern Great Plains.

The Sunshine Nursery Arboretum represents over 50 years of real-world observations of tree species and provenances exposed to the challenging climate of western Oklahoma.

The Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series is held on the second Thursday of each month and includes a plant raffle after the program. The lecture is free and open to the public; however, donations to the lecture series fund are always appreciated.

Parking is available at the PNPC, 2900 Raguet St., or Raguet Elementary School, 2708 Raguet St.
