| Friend, Welcome to your Friday Fiscal Note. This week, we cover Crosby ISD’s $208 million bond election to be held on November 3. The district has only two cents of borrowing power left, and the debt incurred will have to be paid with more property taxes coming out of the pockets of local taxpayers. And this bond comes just a few years after the district ran into trouble with the SEC over previous bonds… Plus, James Talarico’s anti-taxpayer record continues to come under fire. The Austin Representative campaigns on affordability, but spent four legislative sessions voting to grow government and stop pro-taxpayer reforms. Also, in cased you missed it, the Comptroller’s office is moving to end a hidden, double tax that Texans, nor the Legislature, ever voted for. Check out all this, and more, below! |
