COLLIN COUNTY FATAL CRASH
Collin County – On October 8, 2026, at approximately 7:05 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) Highway Patrol (HP) responded to a two-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 1138 in Collin County.
A preliminary investigation indicates a 2025 Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on FM 1138. A 2016 Toyota Tacoma was traveling northbound on FM 1138 approaching Crowell Lane. The driver of the Hyundai began driving on the wrong side of the road and struck the Toyota head on.
The driver of the Hyundai, Christian Samuel Lamoore Dean a 28-year-old from Fate, Texas, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, Adrian Mateos Aguilar, a 23-year-old from Dallas, Texas, was transported to local medical facility with suspected serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available.
