East Texas Chick-fil-A Restaurants to Host Fundraiser Benefiting Local Food Bank During Hunger Action Month

Beginning Sept. 14, participating restaurants will donate $2 from every Chicken & Waffles Sandwich to East Texas Food Bank

 

WHAT: As Hunger Action Month shines a spotlight on food insecurity across the country, local Chick-fil-A restaurants are giving Guests a simple way to support neighbors facing hunger. From Monday, Sept. 14 through Saturday, Sept. 26, participating Chick-fil-A® restaurants across East Texas will donate $2 from every Chicken & Waffles Sandwichpurchased to East Texas Food Bank, up to $20,000, to support local hunger relief efforts.

 

“Caring for our neighbors is deeply personal to us in East Texas,” said Marybeth Wade, local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Jacksonville (TX). “We’re thrilled to offer our Guests a delicious way to give back with the new, limited-time Chicken & Waffles Sandwich. With Chick-fil-A, Inc. matching funds, every purchase helps support neighbors in our community.”

 

The fundraiser builds on Chick-fil-A’s ongoing commitment to helping reduce food insecurity year-round. Chick-fil-A restaurants in East Texas participate inChick-fil-A Shared Table®, redirecting recipe-ready ingredients like chicken, fruit cups and biscuits to local nonprofits. These organizations use ingredients to make meals like chicken parmesan, breakfast casseroles and fruit smoothies.
