$7.5 MILLION LOTTO TEXAS® JACKPOT-WINNING TICKET SOLD IN HOUSTON

AUSTIN — A jackpot-winning ticket worth an estimated annuitized $7.5 million for the Lotto Texas^® drawing held on Sept. 5 was purchased at Kroger 161, located at 14344 Memorial Drive, in Houston. The winning Quick Pick ticket matched all six of the numbers drawn (14-17-25-26-30-37). The cash value option was selected at the time of purchase and the claimant will receive $3,971,819.05 before taxes. The prize has not yet been claimed. The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim the prize. The retailer that sold the jackpot-winning ticket may be eligible for a $25,000 bonus under the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program.

“A Lotto Texas jackpot win is always a big moment, and we’re looking forward to celebrating with the player holding the winning ticket when they come forward to claim the prize,” said Courtney Arbour, executive director of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which oversees the Texas Lottery. “It’s also an exciting moment for the retailer that sold the ticket, and we appreciate the role our retailers play in bringing Lotto Teas to players across the state. We encourage the ticket holder to sign the ticket, keep it in a safe place and consider seeking financial and legal advice before contacting the Texas Lottery to claim the prize.”

The winning Lotto Texas jackpot started as an advertised $5 million prize for the drawing on Aug. 12 and stretched 11 drawings before being hit on Saturday evening. In addition to the jackpot-winning prize, 47,894 Lotto Texas tickets, including those with the Extra! add-on feature, won lower-tier prizes ranging from $2 to $11,813 for the same drawing. The jackpot for the next Lotto Texas drawing on Wednesday, Sept. 9 is set at an estimated annuitized $5.25 million.

Lotto Texas is played by picking six numbers from one to 54 and offers multimillion-dollar jackpots. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. CT. For $1 more per Play, a player can select the Extra! add-on feature for a chance to win up to $10,000 more on non-jackpot prizes.
