Newly Renovated Chapel Hill Football Stadium

Newly renovated Bulldog Stadium is the first expansive renovations made to the facility in over 50 years.

The $12 million dollar renovation and expansion includes renovated bleachers, a new press box, an improved concession stand and a flipped home and away side opposite of what visitors and Bulldog fans have experienced in seasons past.

The stadium now seats almost 7,000 people.

The Bulldogs will host their first game in the new facility on September 4, against the Gilmer Buckeyes.

The $12 million Bulldog Stadium renovation project itself did not include an indoor practice facility, but a brand-new 57,000-square-foot multipurpose indoor activities center was opened on the Chapel Hill High School campus in August 2025.

While the 2026 stadium overhaul was funded entirely through the district’s excess operational fund balances, the indoor facility was funded via a separate voter-approved school bond passed in 2023.
