Brownsboro Texas OIS Investigation

BROWNSBORO, TEXAS – On August 15, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m, A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper responded to assist local law enforcement with a suicidal person in the 11000 Block of Ingram Street, in Brownsboro, Texas.

A Texas DPS Trooper observed the suicidal suspect armed with a firearm and gave the suspect commands to drop the firearm. The suspect failed to follow the commands and raised the firearm at the Trooper. The Trooper opened fire, striking the suspect. The suspect was provided medical aid on scene and transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The suspect was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

No one else was injured, and this remains an open investigation. No further information is available.
