Colonial Village hosts Back-to-School Bash

Colonial Village in Longview, Texas hosted its Back-to-School Bash on Aug. 8, giving out 104 prefilled backpacks to local children ahead of the new school year. The event included snow cones, cotton candy, games, balloon art and face painting. Residents also helped fill backpacks before the event as part of the community’s school supply drive.

The Back-to-School Bash is part of Colonial Village’s continued effort to host community-focused events throughout August and September. Upcoming events include a teacher appreciation breakfast on Aug. 18, the community’s monthly Breakfast and Badges event honoring first responders and veterans on Sept. 3 and a National Food Bank Day collection on Sept. 5 to support local food banks.
