COLLIN COUNTY FATAL CRASH
Collin County – On August 4, 2026, at approximately 5:13 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) Highway Patrol (HP) responded to a two-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 1378 and Osage Lane.
A preliminary investigation indicated a 2020 Chevrolet Spark was traveling east on Osage Lane. The driver of the Spark disregarded the stop sign at the intersection with FM 1378. A 2024 Kenworth towing a semi-trailer was traveling north on FM 1378 when it struck the Spark at the intersection.
The driver of the Chevrolet Spark, Kaysie Sparling, a 55-year-old female, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The driver of the Kenworth was not injured.
