Texas Book Lovers Con Comes to Denton’s Quakertown Civic Center on July 18th-19th

Book lovers of all ages are invited to join us for the Texas Book Lovers Convention at the Quakertown Civic Center in Denton, Texas, on July 18th-19th, 2026. This weekend-long, all-genre, free-to-attend event has something for everyone. A family can buy a picture book for their toddler, a middle-grade adventure for their child, a western for a parent, or a rom-com for mom. In addition to a variety of indie authors and books, bookish vendors will be selling a variety of wares for those who treasure literature.

After finding your latest read or a must-have item to display on your bookshelf, step out onto the loading dock to grab a bite to eat or a delicious cold-pressed juice from our food vendors. Two mobile bookstores will also be on site to offer traditionally published books from your to-be-read list.

 

Readers, writers, and fans of fiction have a unique opportunity to connect with our authors through our free-to-attend panel sessions. Pick the brains of Sci-Fi authors. Learn what makes Historical Fiction authors tick. Get insight from Fantasy, Romantasy, Horror, Young Adult, or Children’s Book Authors. Ask the hard-hitting questions in our Mental Health Panel. Or attend one of our two Q&A panels for aspiring writers about getting started in Indie Publishing.

 

This is a book event for book lovers, by book lovers. If the sixty-plus authors and vendors, free panel discussions, and delicious food are not enough to entice North Texas book fans, a daily punch card raffle, swag bags, and door prizes donated by our authors, vendors, and sponsors just might. Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance. Each reserved ticket receives one entry into one of our daily drawings.
