Lillian C. Meggs shares a remarkable journey of healing, self-discovery and hope through life’s darkest moments

PLANO, Texas – Author Lillian C. Meggs invites readers on an unforgettable journey of survival, self-discovery, healing, and unwavering faith in her debut memoir, “Embracing God’s New Story: A Miraculous Journey of Healing and Surrender to Rediscover a True Spiritual Self” (published by WestBow Press).

What began as an ordinary day in 1998 became a defining moment that left Meggs with a traumatic brain injury, neurological damage, partial paralysis, and a long road of physical and emotional rehabilitation. In this book, she shares a comprehensive account of life after a devastating automobile accident — the harrowing struggles that followed, the emotional, mental, and spiritual fear, the challenges of rebuilding a life shattered by trauma, and the transformative power of surrendering control to a higher calling. Faced with overwhelming medical challenges and uncertain prospects for recovery, Meggs found herself confronting profound questions about identity, purpose, suffering, and God’s presence during life’s darkest moments.

“People are curious about miracles and the supernatural,” the author states. “I believe my story will resonate with readers because of the transformation involved. It is a story about overcoming difficult times and achieving significant personal acceptance into society again after brokenness and devastation.”

Filled with wisdom, compassion, and hard-earned faith, “Embracing God’s New Story” offers comfort to those facing illness, trauma, loss, or significant life transitions. Readers seeking encouragement and reassurance will find a compelling reminder that even life’s most painful chapters can become part of a greater story of restoration.
