AJBA All American Update: Health Requirements & New World Screwworm Information
We are only a few short weeks away from the 2026 AJBA All American in Bryan, Texas, and excitement continues to build as exhibitors and families finalize their plans to attend.

As everyone prepares for the event, we wanted to provide an update regarding animal health requirements and the ongoing monitoring of the New World Screwworm (NWS) situation.

Since the initial identification of New World Screwworm in Texas, ABBA and AJBA have remained in regular communication with the appropriate animal health officials and continue to closely monitor developments, especially as they pertain to the 2026 AJBA All American.

At this time, the AJBA All American is proceeding as scheduled and we are full speed ahead.

Standard health requirements will continue to apply for entry into Texas and for cattle entering the show grounds.

We also recognize that several states have implemented additional requirements for animals returning home, including Certificates of Veterinary Inspection (health papers) that may be required within a 5- to 7-day window, depending on each state’s regulations.

To help exhibitors navigate these requirements, we are making arrangements to have a licensed Texas veterinarian on-site on Sunday, July 5, available to conduct inspections and issue health papers for exhibitors who may need them for interstate travel back to their home states. Any costs associated with these services will be the responsibility of the exhibitor.

Because this situation continues to evolve, we strongly encourage exhibitors to verify the specific requirements for re-entry into their home state prior to traveling.

We recognize that each day can bring new information as states continue to evaluate and implement protocols. Please know that we are monitoring this situation closely and will continue to provide updates as we move closer to the All American and as verified information becomes available.

Our priority remains the health and safety of our exhibitors, livestock, and families while ensuring a successful and enjoyable 2026 AJBA All American experience for everyone.

We look forward to seeing you in Bryan, Texas.
