Local veterans to be honored at a free breakfast and coffee gathering on Friday, June 12

Local veterans are invited to be honored at a free breakfast and coffee gathering Friday, June 12, at the Cozy Coffee Station of the Credit Union of Texas, said local American Legion adjutant Shirley Parnell.

Although the 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. event, co-sponsored by CUTX and the local American Legion post, is designated as ‘Women Veterans Recognition Day,” male veterans can attend.

The event at 755 U.S. Hwy. 271 will feature information on “financial solutions and exclusive benefits created to support those who have served,” said a flyer promoting it.
