Grayson County Crash Claims Teenager’s Life
Grayson County – On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 3:44 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol (HP) Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway (SH) 11 near McGraw Lane.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a Chevrolet Cruz was traveling northbound on SH 11. A 2007 International Truck was traveling northbound ahead of the Chevrolet Cruz. The driver of the Chevrolet Crus failed to control its speed and rear-ended the International. Both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lane.
The driver of the Chevrolet Cruz, Makynna Eden Tumlinson, an 18-year-old female of Sherman, TX, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The driver of the International Truck, Hector Ivan Mejia Garcia, a 37-year-old male of Allen, TX, was transported to the local medical facility with suspected minor injuries.
