Work to take place at night |
ATLANTA – A portion of State Highway 11 in Pittsburg is scheduled for rehabilitation soon, according to plans awarded in December by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
This project will cover an area of 0.7 miles from south of the Union Pacific Railroad to U.S. Highway 271. “Work on this project will take place at night, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7 a.m.,” said Mount Pleasant Area Engineer Wendy Starkes. “All lanes will receive a new surface along with new pavement markings.”
East Texas Bridge, Inc. was awarded the contract with a low bid of $932,074. Work is scheduled to take about three months. A start date has not yet been determined. The estimated completion date is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
