Texas’ longtime investment in research and development (R&D) has led to world-changing discoveries and played a valuable role in the state’s economy. A recent study by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas found that government-funded R&D provides a steady growth in productivity that can last up to 15 years, as spillovers from new knowledge and technologies kick start new business.
