You are hereby commanded to appear by filing a written answer to the PLAINTIFF’S THIRD AMENDED ORIGINAL PETITION at or before 10:00 o’clock A.M. on the Monday next after the expiration of 42 days after the date of issuance of this citation, the same being JUNE 15th, 2026 before the Honorable Judge Dean Fowler, 115th District Court of Upshur County, at the Courthouse in said County in Gilmer, Texas. Said PLAINTIFF’S THIRD AMENDED ORIGINAL PETITION was filed in said court on the 11TH day of February 2026 in the above-entitled cause.

The names of the parties in said suite are: GREG EHRENBERG, INDIVIDUALLY AND AS PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ESTATE OF GREG RANDALL EHRENBERG, DECEASED; AND SAMANTHA KISSELBURG, INDIVIDUALLY AND AS PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ESTATE OF GREG RANDALL EHRENBERG, DECEASED, Plaintiffs VS. A brief statement of the nature of this suit is as follows, to-wit: PLAINTIFF’S THIRD AMENDED ORIGNAL PETITION, INJURY/OTHER.

On or about April 24, 2024, Defendants, GRI TOWERS TEXAS INC., UACL LOGISTICS LLC, UACL SPECIALIZED, LLC, MYERS TRANSPORT, LLC, GE RENEWABLES US, LLC, MICHAEL DAVID JONES, GE RENEWABLES NORTH AMERICA, LLC, GLOBAL RESOURCES INTERNATIONAL, INC., UNIVERSAL LOGISTICS HOLDINGS, INC., GONVARRI SOLAR STEEL U.S., INC., GRI U.S. INVERSTMENTS, LP, ADMIRA MANAGEMENT GP, LLC, GE VERNOVA LLC, BEL TRANSPOR PILOT ESCORT, BRENDA LAPICO, INDIVIDAULLY AND D/B/A BEL TRANSPORT PILOT ESCROT, ROBERT KOWALCZYK, INDIVIDUALLY AND D/B/A JOE’S PILOT CAR SERVICES, AND JOE’S PILOT CAR SERVICES, were engaged in a joint enterprise undertaken by all Defendants to transport an oversized load from Amarillo, Texas to Perryton, Oklahoma. While in the course of this joint enterprise, Defendants acted with negligence and gross negligence proximately causing the untimely death of Greg Randall Ehrenberg.
The common purpose to be carried out by this agreement/joint enterprise was the interstate transportation of an oversized cargo, which weighed in excess of 190,000 pounds. The multistate route to be traveled by the joint enterprise included a portion spanning from Amarillo, Texas to Perryton, Oklahoma. Each Defendant anticipated receiving a profit upon successfully delivering the cargo to its destination, thereby crating a community of pecuniary interest within this common purpose.
In order to achieve their shared goal, Defendant, MICHAEL DAVID JONES, agreed to haul the cargo by operating a 2016 Kenworth truck. Defendants, BRENDA LAPICO, JOE HALL, and JOSEPH HALL agreed to serve as pilot escort vehicle drivers.
On or about April 24, 2024, in effectuation of their agreement in connection with the joint enterprise, the journey began from Amarillo, Texas to Perryton, Oklahoma.
At approximately 6:50 a.m. on April 24, 2024, Greg Randall Ehrenberg was traveling in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 pickup truck owned and/or leased by Defendants, UACL LOGISTICS LLC, UACL SPECIALIZED, LLC, UNIVERSAL LOGISTICS HOLDINGS, INC., and/or MYERS TANSPORT, LLC, and Defendant, MICHAEL DAVID JONES, were hauling for Defendants, GRI TOWERS TEXAS INC., GE RENEWABLES US LLC GE RENEWABLES NORTH AMERICA, LLC, GLOBAL RESOURCCES INTERNATIONAL, INC.,UNIVERSAL LOGISTICS HOLDINGS, INC., GONVARRI SOLAR STEEL U.S.., INC., GRI U.S. INVESTMENTS, LP, ADMIRA MANAGEMENT GP, LLC, GE VERNOVA INC. and/or GE VERNOVA LLC,. Further, at the time of the incident, Defendants, BEL TRANSPORT PILOT ESCORT, BRENDA LAPICO, INDIVIDUALLY AND D/B/A BEL TRANSPORT PILOT ESCORT, ROBERT KOWALCZYK, INDIVIDUALLY AND D/B/A BEL TRANSPORT PILOT ESCORT, JOE HALL, INDIVIDUALLY AND d/b/a JOE’S PILOT CAR SERVICES, JOSPEH HALL, INDIVIDUALLY AND d/b/a JOE’S PILOT CAR SERVICES, and JOE’S PILOT CAR SERVICES, who had been hired by GRI TOWERS TEXAS INC., UACL LOGISTICS LLC, UACL SPECIALIZERD, LLC, MYERS TRANSPORT, LLC, GE RENEWABLES US LLC, GE RENEWABLES NORTH AMERICA, LLC, GLOBAL RESOURCES INTERNATIONAL, INC., UNIVERSAL LOGISTICS HOLDING,S INCL., GONVARRI SOLAR STEEL U.S., INC., GRI U.S. INVESTMENTS, LP, ADMIRA MANAGEMENT GP, LLC, GE VERNOVA INC., and/or GE VERNOVAL LLC, to perform escort services in connection with the load being hauled by Defendant, MICHAEL DAVID JONES. Defendants, MICHAEL DAVID JONES, JOE HALL, JOSEPH HALL and BRENDA LAPICO, were traveling in a convoy to accomplish their mission of moving the oversized load from one location to another.
At the time Defendant, MICHAEL DAVID JONES, began his trip during which the incident occurred, Defendants, GRI TOWERS TEXAS INC., GE RENEWABLES US LLC, GE RENEWABLES NORTH AMERICA, LLC, GLOBAL RESOURCES INTERNATIONAL, INC., UNIVERSAL LOGISTICS HOLDINGS, INC., GONVARRI SOLAR STEEL U.SU., INC., GRI U.S. INVESTMENTS, LP, ADMIRA MANAGEMENT GP, LLC, GE VERNOVA INC. and GE VERNOVA LLC, approved the transport of the oversized load without proper reflectors without competent and properly trailed pilot vehicle drivers, and on a known unsafe route, Further, Defendant MICAHEL DAVID JONES’ oversized load was not properly marked with reflectors, and traffic was not stopped on East Amarillo Boulevard by an escort pilot vehicle. As Defendant, MICHAEL DAVID JONES, proceeded on this trip Defendants, JOE HALL, JOSEPH HALL and BRENDA LAPICO, accompanied Defendant, MICHAEL DAVID JONES, and served as his escort pilot cars. Neither Defendants JOE HALL nor JOSEPH HALL nor BRENDA LAPICO stopped traffic or even alerted traffic of the oncoming oversized load. Further, neither Defendants JOE HALL nor JOSEPH HALL nor BRENDA LAPICO alerted or notified Greg Randall Ehrenberg of the oversized load that he was about to encounter.
As Greg Randall Ehrenberg neared the intersection with Amarillo Boulevard, suddenly and without
warning Defendant, MICHAEL DAVID JONES, totally disregarded the stop sign located at the intersection, failed to yield the right-of-way to Greg Randall Ehrenberg, and proceeded into the intersection, and pulled into the path of Greg Randall Ehrenberg and attempted to turn left to head eastbound on Amarillo Boulevard, blocking and occupying all the lanes of travel of East Amarillo Boulevard with no warnings provided to the motoring public that an oversized load was blocking the road, causing Greg Randall Ehrenberg’s vehicle to strike the trailer-tractor being operated by Defendant, MICHAEL DAVID JONES, subjecting Greg Randall Ehrenberg to tremendous force. Greg Randall Ehrenberg suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision
Greg Randall Ehrenberg passed away as a result of the collision made the basis of this lawsuit. Greg Randall Ehrenberg is survived by his biological mother, Plaintiff, SAMANTHA KISSELBURG, and by his biological father, Plaintiff, GREG EHRENBERG. Plaintiff, SAMANTHA KISSELBURG, is the biological mother of Greg Randall Ehrenberg, and Plaintiff, GREG EHRENBERG, is the biological father of Greg Randall Ehrenberg. Plaintiffs, GREG EHRENBERG and SAMANTHA KISSELBURG, therefore, claim all damages recoverable to them in all capacities, under the law, including all survival and wrongful death claims and causes of action, both at common law and pursuant to statute, including Chapter 71, Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code.
