We’re excited to announce that applications for the Youth Texas Ambassadorsprogram are open May 1 through June 5!

This program empowers young people ages 15-25 across Texas to become environmental leaders in their communities—building skills, launching projects, and making a lasting impact.

We encourage any young Texan who is passionate about the environment and ready to lead to apply.

Green Fellow Spotlight

We’re grateful to our EarthShare Texas Green Fellow, Gabriel Cantu, for his impactful work supporting our Keep Texas Recycling program this semester.

As a Data Analyst Fellow, Gabriel analyzed recycling trends and partner data to develop dashboards and visualization tools to help measure program impact. He also designed and piloted new data collection systems, giving our recycling partners deeper insight into who is recycling—and why—so we can better target outreach and resources moving forward.

Gabriel is a graduating senior at The University of Texas at Austin, studying Sustainability Studies with a minor in Hydrology. Originally from the San Antonio area, he brings a strong commitment to addressing resource management and environmental challenges across Texas.

We’re thankful for Gabriel’s contributions and wish him all the best as he takes this next step—we can’t wait to see what he does next!
