Four earn All-HBCUAC,Women’s Track and Field finishes fourth 

SHREVEPORT, La. – Over the course of two wet and rainy days, four Wiley University women’s track and field athletes made trips to the awards podium as the Lady Wildcats finished fourth at the 2026 Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference Track and Field Championship Thursday and Friday at Lee Hedges Stadium.

Due to extremely unfavorable weather conditions on Friday, the vast majority of the championship was conducted on Thursday. The Lady Wildcats recorded 72.5 points, 1.5 points behind Huston-Tillotson University for third. Dillard University won its fifth straight title with 195.5 points.

Tikeria Miller added two All-HBCUAC performances to her freshman campaign. She finished third in the shot put (10.34 meters) and hammer throw (34.26). She also placed in the discus.

Chrisonie Darden-Sanders earned All-HBCUAC with a runner-up finish in the javelin (25.07 meters) and placed in the discus and shot put. She threw a personal best 22.60 in the hammer throw.

Kelechi Dike, who has played two seasons on the basketball team, delivered the best track performance with a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash (58.50). Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo finished runner-up in the high jump, surpassing 1.42 meters.

Logan Montgomery just missed All-HBCUAC with a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles and a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles. Kaitlyn Charles placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a personal best of 25.89. She ran on the 4 x 100- meter relay team with Kaiden Taylor, Anndrea Reed and Tutt-Moutouo, which finished fourth at 49.34.

The Lady Wildcats will compete in Harding University’s Mother’s Day Last Chance Meet on Sunday, looking to gain qualifiers for the 2026 NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track and Field National Championship.
