NETWO to Host Writers Conference and More

“Red, White, and Clues,” Northeast Texas Writers Organization’s (NETWO’s) annual conference is set for Saturday, June 6, from 8 am to 4 pm at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Its theme this year focuses on suspense. Snacks, beverages, and lunch will be provided. Register online at netwo.org .
Conference sessions are filled with an eclectic line-up of professionals, including Carolyn L. Dean, USA Today best-seller of more than 800,000 books; Texas Ranger and Cold Case Specialist Brian Hermati; Colonel Jesse Boulden, Director of the International ALERT Academy and expert in Search and Rescue and First Responder practices; James R. Callan, a NETWO pillar and multi-award winning author of mystery and suspense; and Richard Z. Santos, finalist of the Writer’s League of Texas Book Awards and multi-award winning author, speaker, teacher and lecturer.
In light of the USA’s 250th anniversary, NETWO is honoring veterans and members of law enforcement during the conference. Scholarships are available for the first ten veterans and first responders to register. Contact Jean at 903-305-8023 for more info.

A staple in the Northeast Texas writing community for decades, NETWO’s annual conference serves as an educational and fellowship opportunity for writers, artists, and industry professionals. Writers of all skill levels and genres are welcome to attend. And this year, all veterans and members of law enforcement are invited with scholarships available for the first ten veterans and first responders to register.
NETWO is a 501-c non-profit organization dedicated to education and advancement of literary and related arts. Founded in the mid 1980’s with roots at the Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC), the conference has hosted a variety of high-profile authors such as Rick Riordan, Colleen Hoover, Helen Myers, and Jodi Thomas, as well as New York editors and agents.
