Six injured in Martin Lake Power Plant electrical event in Tatum
Injuries have been reported during an electrical discharge at Rusk County power plant.
Rusk County Sheriff Jonwayne Valdez described the discharge as an “electrical arc,” with effects resembling that of an explosion, that occurred at Martin Lake Power Plant in Tatum shortly before 2:50 p.m. Monday. Six people were hospitalized, with two of them receiving flights to area hospitals.
