Work scheduled to begin April 27 |
ATLANTA – A portion of U.S. Highway 271 in Pittsburg is scheduled for rehabilitation this month, according to plans awarded in January by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
“This project will cover an area of almost three miles from State Loop 179 to Business 271H,” said Mount Pleasant Area Engineer Wendy Starkes. All lanes will receive new asphalt concrete pavement, metal beam guard fence and pavement markings.
R.K. Hall, LLC was awarded the contract with a low bid of $5,003,036. Work is scheduled to begin April 27 and is scheduled to take about six months to complete. The estimated completion date is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
