This week, we take a look at the recently released interim charges for both the Texas House and Senate. These are essentially “homework assignments” for the committees from the Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the House.

What do the charges include? Are fiscal discipline and property taxes on the radar? Read below to find out more.

Also, we’re saddened to hear about the passing of Robert “Bob” Bruce, a longtime champion of individual liberty, fiscal discipline, and personal responsibility in Texas politics.

And, in case you missed it, we took a look at Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico’s voting record during his time as a State Representative. And, believe it or not, Talarico has consistently voted against the fiscal interests of his constituents.
