The Fiscal Note: While Austin Plays Politics, Texans Pay for Illegal Immigrants Inbox Texans for Fiscal Respons

Texans for Fiscal Responsibility
Friend,

Welcome to your Friday Fiscal Note.  💸

This week, we ask why a solid bill put forth by Rep. Andy Hopper, that would save taxpayers billions of dollars and prevent education resources from being used for illegal immigrants, was killed in committee just because Rep. Hopper was the one who wrote it?

Also, did you know Texas A&M, a taxpayer-funded university, spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to have their logo put on race cars? Does that really help them fulfill their purpose of educating the next generation?

And, in case you missed it, property taxes were UP in 2025 by $2.7 billion, despite constant promises from politicians to lower them.

Plus, County and Senate District Conventions are TOMORROW, March 28th. Check out our resolutions, and download copies to take with you, down below.
