Washington, DC — On Saturday, March 28, grassroots members of Our Revolution, the nation’s largest progressive political organization, will mobilize alongside a broad coalition of allies in hundreds of cities, towns, and rural communities to deliver a clear and unified message: America has no kings and rejects Trump’s authoritarian regime.
For the first time, organizers are planning coordinated actions in red states and rural areas that have not historically hosted No Kings rallies, reflecting a growing anti-authoritarian sentiment in communities that have often been overlooked in national mobilizations.
This nationwide protest – with more than 3,100 event locations – comes amid a deepening national crisis. As Trump escalates an unconstitutional war of choice with Iran while pushing for hundreds of billions more in military spending, Americans struggle with rising costs and economic pain. Millions of Americans will be taking to the streets as the administration expands a chaotic and inhumane immigration crackdown, ramps up DHS funding battles, and increases militarized enforcement in communities and public spaces, all while corporate consolidation accelerates across Big Tech, AI, media, and the military industrial complex, where billionaire backed industries are cashing in on war, surveillance, and deregulation while working people are left behind.
Across the country, organizers say the moment is converging into a broader reckoning: while billions are directed toward war, corporate subsidies, and tax breaks for the wealthy, working people are being asked to absorb higher costs for housing, groceries, healthcare, and energy.
Organizers say the expansion of No Kings protests into red districts, swing areas, and rural communities reflects growing dissatisfaction across the political spectrum, including among voters who previously supported Trump and are now grappling with economic hardship and a foreign policy that risks further instability. With turnout in these areas expected to be critical in the 2026 midterms, organizers say this growing movement could have significant political impact.
“Trump is not only governing like an authoritarian, he is advancing a system where war, corporate power, and political corruption are deeply intertwined,” said Joseph Geevarghese, Executive Director of Our Revolution. “At a time when families are struggling to afford basic necessities, this administration is choosing to invest in war and reward billionaire donors. Americans across the political spectrum are rejecting that. They don’t want more war. They want a government that delivers for working people.”
Our Revolution is America’s largest grassroots independent political organizing group, born out of Senator Bernie Sanders’s 2016 presidential campaign. It focuses on mobilizing communities, electing progressive champions, advocating for progressive policies, and transforming the Democratic Party to serve people, not corporate interests.
