Spring Clean-Up March 23RD – March 28th
For City of Gilmer Residents

The City of Gilmer will hold spring clean-up on Monday, March 23rd and Tuesday, March 24th on the east side of U.S. 271; Wednesday, March 25th and Thursday, March 26th on the west side of U.S. 271.

Residents are asked to follow the collection schedule and to place bags of leaves, brush or junk items curbside by 7 a.m. each day to ensure pick up. Items must weigh no more than 50 lbs. Brush must be bundled, cut into 3-5 ft. lengths and be no more than 12” in diameter.

Residents may also take multiple loads of household garbage and brush to the city dumpster site (the old City dump site located at Daylily & Carnation) on March 23rd & March 25th 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., and March 28th 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (only on these dates). No permit will be necessary, but a current City of Gilmer utility bill will be required to dump.

No tires, liquids, shingles, paint cans, products containing asbestos, air conditioners, electronics, or refrigerators will be picked up or accepted at the old City dump.

Remember – For City Staff to pick up items at your residence, you must call City Hall at 903-843-2552 and request a pick up.
