SWEPCO Outage Map: Real‑Time, Customer‑Friendly, and Available in English & Spanish

Already, many of you are using our interactive SWEPCO Outage Map. Thank you! It’s the best source for up‑to‑the‑minute information about current outages and restoration progress.

The map includes:

  • Spanish and English language options
  • Weather radar overlay for visibility into ongoing storm impacts
  • Locally managed warming stations, added in collaboration with local officials and community partners and includes contact information for each warming shelter, accessible by hovering over the home icon for that location

This expanded map, updated last spring, is part of our ongoing effort to provide meaningful, location‑specific resources to those who need them most.

 

How To Access Up‑to‑the‑Minute Outage Statistics

For the most current outage numbers, updated every 15 minutes, you can pull data directly from the map:

  1. Visit the SWEPCO Outage Map –SWEPCO Outage Map
  2. Select the Menu button
  3. Choose Summary
  4. From the dropdown, select “VIEW OMS Area”

This will display:

  • Region/area name
  • Total customer count
  • Number of customers affected

This report refreshes every 15 minutes, giving you near real‑time visibility into changing conditions as crews make repairs.

 

Challenging Restoration Conditions

Ice accumulation from this storm has created hazardous conditions across our service territory. Downed limbs, icy roadways, and continuous refreezing are making access and repairs especially treacherous. Despite these challenges, SWEPCO crews, support teams, and mutual‑assistance partners remain fully committed to restoring service to every customer as safely and quickly as possible
