| CYPRESS, TX – A new early childhood education center is officially open in Cypress, bringing expanded preschool and childcare options to local families and reinforcing a commitment to community-centered education. Located at 8742 Barker Cypress Road, Lightbridge Academy of Cypress is now open and serving children from infancy through pre-kindergarten. The school officially opened its doors this month following the completion of construction and final preparations. The school is owned and operated by Arturo Neto and his wife, Liz Morton, longtime Towne Lake residents who opened the center with a focus on serving families in the community they call home. Their daughter, Maya, currently attends Anthony Middle School after previously attending Rennell Elementary, further grounding the family’s connection to local schools and neighborhoods. “This isn’t just a business for us,” said Arturo Neto, owner of Lightbridge Academy of Cypress. “We live here. Our daughter goes to school here. We understand what families in Cypress are looking for because we’re one of them.” The school’s day program emphasizes structured routines, developmentally appropriate curriculum, and a nurturing environment designed to support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. Leadership says the goal is to create a calm, predictable day where children feel secure, confident, and ready to learn. In addition to its daytime early education programs, the center plans to offer an after-school program for children up to 12 years old, featuring structured enrichment and optional athletic activities such as pickleball, basketball, and volleyball through local partnerships. The opening of the school has also created new jobs in the Cypress area, with certified early childhood educators and support staff hired locally.
