UT Health East Texas Physicians Welcomes Cory Cummings, MD, to Tyler

Tyler, Texas (January 6, 2026) — UT Health East Texas Physicians is expanding family medicine services in Tyler with the addition of Cory Cummings, MD.
“I am committed to providing practical, patient-centered care and being available to patients when they need it most,” Dr. Cummings said. “I provide comprehensive primary care, managing both acute concerns and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperthyroidism and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. I also enjoy performing office procedures including major joint injections, minor skin procedures and foot care.”
Before becoming a physician, Dr. Cummings served five years in the U.S. Army as a medic.
“I have also faced personal medical challenges that gave me a firsthand understanding of how medical conditions can become overwhelming,” Dr. Cummings said. “These experiences shape how I relate to patients and help me guide them through complex situations with clarity and support.”
