Kason Huddleston announces run for Texas State Board of Education District 9
Rockwall, TX – On Thursday, November 13th, Kason Huddleston announced his bid for the Texas State Board of Education, District 9. Huddleston released the following statement:
“Our Texas schools should set the standard for excellence, teaching the core subjects that build brighter futures for our kids. I want to raise the bar and make our children the smartest in the nation—grounded in truth, character, and Texas pride.
For too long, our classrooms have drifted away from moral clarity and faith-based values. If Christians don’t stand in the gap and teach Biblical morals, someone else will—and we’re seeing those results now. Texas children deserve the best, with parents empowered, teachers supported, and every decision rooted in what is best for our children. They are our future.
I’m committed to restoring integrity, raising standards, and ensuring every child in Texas has the tools to succeed.”
Huddleston serves as Pastor at the Freedom Place Church in Rowlett, Texas. He is also the State Chaplain for the Republican Party of Texas. Kason, his wife April, and his three children, reside in Rockwall.
Kason has a passion for education and is committed to bringing accountability and transparency to the State Board of Education.
The Primary Election for the State Board of Education takes place on March 3rd, 2026.
