| Like the rest of Texas, the Upper East Side is made up of many kinds of people from all walks of life. Respecting our differences may seem hard, but really, it’s a choice, a delicate balance as artist Jeffie Brewer says, and like him, we can all try to be bridge builders. Most of us can stand on that bridge with someone with different views as long as they don’t try to bully us to get us over to “their” side. Respectfully expressing opinions and listening whether we agree with them or not can help our human family live amongst each other in peace. Thankfully, the artists and other bridge builders here in this issue and throughout the region continue to help us get there. — P.A.
