ATLANTA – A portion of State Highway 300 is scheduled for rehabilitation soon, according to plans awarded in April by the Texas Department of Transportation.

“This project will cover an area of about nine miles from 0.2 miles south of US 271 to 0.1 mile north of FM 3358 south,” said Mount Pleasant Area Engineer Wendy Starkes. All lanes will receive a new base along with new asphalt concrete pavement.

Madden Contracting Company LLC of Minden, LA was awarded the contract with a bid of $22,871,598.

Work is expected to begin in July and take about 16 months to complete, weather permitting.

Someone needs to Rehabilitate the intersection at 726 and 300 before they finish rehabilitating the lanes. There are potholes big enough to lose a wheel. Should I go get a few bags of concrete mix and fill them myself?
