UT Health East Texas Physicians Welcomes Coby Reece, APRN, AGACNP-BC to Tyler

Tyler, Texas (April 23, 2024) – UT Health East Texas is expanding neurology services in Tyler with the addition of Coby Reece, APRN, AGACNP-BC.

Reece’s care philosophy centers on providing support and comfort to patients and their families during their most challenging moments. After the events of Sept. 11, 2001, he felt compelled to serve and joined the Air Force, spending more than three years deployed to various locations in the Middle East. After receiving an honorable discharge, he moved into healthcare, following a brief period in law enforcement. Driven by a desire to continue assisting families, he pursued his EMT certification before obtaining his nurse practitioner certification.

“Neurology wasn’t a deliberate choice for me; rather, it felt like the field found me. Encouraged by a close friend and mentor, I embraced the challenges of neurology despite its complexity,” Reece said. “Today, I immerse myself in continuous learning while tending to patients in acute care and transitions of care, fulfilling my calling to work in this dynamic setting.”

Coby Reece is welcoming patients at 700 Olympic Plaza, Ste. 904 in Tyler. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 903-535-6092.
