Longview SBDC Brings National Restaurant Consultant to East Texas

LONGVIEW – The UT Tyler-Longview Small Business Development Center is bringing nationally renowned restaurant consultant Chris Tripoli to East Texas to meet with local restaurants in the region.  Mr. Tripoli, Principal of The Restaurant Clinic of Austin, will be meeting with several local restaurants to discuss ways to improve food and beverage operations, customer service, guest experience, marketing and other areas key to operating a successful restaurant. 


“Chris Tripoli is one of the best consultants in the restaurant business,” says Day Shelmire, Director of the UT Tyler-Longview SBDC.  “East Texas restaurant owners are very lucky to have him available as a resource to help them fine tune the operations of their restaurants in order to grow and thrive.”


Mr. Tripoli has 40 years of service in the Hospitality Industry as a designer, developer, owner and operator. He helped develop and expand Luther’s Barbecue Restaurants (now Pappas Bar-B-Q) in Texas, Colorado and Oklahoma and helped develop Truluck’s Steak and Stone Crab Restaurant, among other concepts.
