Five Registered Nurses (RNs) from Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) (pictured above) completed the 8-week NTCC Continuing Education (CE) Course RNSG1075- Clinical Preceptor Training Program. These five RNs worked hard to successfully complete this Evidence-Based Program focusing on how to master precepting when working with NTCC nursing students who are completing their clinical time at TRMC using the Preceptor Model. Each RN was recognized today at TRMC with a CE Certificate of Course Completion presented by Dr. Karen Koerber-Timmons, NTCC Director of Nursing Programs and Instructor for the CE Course- Clinical Preceptor Training Program.
An additional five RNs from TRMC completed the 8-week NTCC CE Course RNSG1076- Simulation Facilitator Training Program. These five RNs worked hard to successfully complete this Evidence-Based Program focusing on how to master the role of Simulation Facilitator. These five RNs will be able to work with TRMC healthcare staff to meet competency needs using Simulation at the new NTCC Simulation Center. Each RN was recognized today at TRMC with a CE Certificate of Course Completion presented by Dr. Karen Koerber-Timmons, NTCC Director of Nursing Programs and Instructor for the CE Course- Simulation Facilitator Training Program.
Dr. Timmons wants to thank the following individuals in leadership at TRMC and NTCC for their support in working with her in meeting the goals of the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER II)/Nursing Innovation Grant Program (NIGP) from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) by recognizing the first cohort of students to successfully complete the programs:

- NTCC- Dr. Marta Urdaneta- Dean of Health Science, Jimmy Smith- Director of Continuing Education & Corporate Training
“This opportunity to work with our clinical partner- TRMC assists in meeting needs of NTCCs nursing students and the nurses at TRMC. NTCC is excited to build upon this long-standing relationship through continued offerings of the Clinical Preceptor Training Program and the Simulation Facilitator Training Program,” Dr. Timmons, said.
