Afternoon New Years Eve Concert Scheduled in Winnsboro

WINNSBORO, Tx — Those reluctant to be out and about after dark on New Year’s Eve can find a fun and meaningful alternative at Winnsboro Center for the Arts. A celebratory daytime New Year’s Eve concert gathering is scheduled there at 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, December 31, with doors opening at 2 p.m. Featuring hometown folkies Adler & Hearne on the art center’s Bowery Stage, the concert is partially underwritten by the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA). Tickets are $19 general admission and $29 bistro table seating. Concessions are for sale.

Having served as official Texas Touring Roster artists of the TCA since 2014, Lynn Adler and Lindy Hearne’s music has deep Texas roots — especially in Winnsboro where the musical couple has lived since 2001. Their signature sound is of the acoustic singer-songwriter variety, with a folk-jazz vibe they simply call “Texas Folk.” Adler & Hearne are joined by special musical guest Tony Stubbs on bass.
The art center invites all to its New Year’s Eve gathering to enjoy the live music, do some reflecting together on the past year, and to ring in 2024 by the light of day. To learn more, visit www.winnsborocenterforthearts.com and click on Bowery Stage for details and tickets.
