Beauty in the Beholder

SUNDAY October 22, 2023

“I think that beauty is not a luxury, but that it ennobles the heart and reminds us of the infinity that is within us.”

John O’Donohue

As I browse through the images and words I’ve gathered for you here this week several threads emerge, all culminating in appreciating the simple beauty we are gifted every day that stirs joy within us.

Experiencing art, food and wine, and music are all good things that feed our senses. Taking time to slow down and truly enjoy simple moments like a baby’s laughter, a hug from a friend, the roar of a train, or feeling a sense of satisfaction at accomplishing something challenging, helps make our days meaningful. So do lots of other treasures waiting for you to discover in the Upper East Side of Texas. — P.A. Geddie
