I am sure you may know a new Texan or two. I mean, who doesn’t, right?
Will you please do me a favor and invite them to an event this Saturday where all new Texans attending will get sworn in by the local sheriff?
This event, which is named, Texas Celebration, is a 4-hour, fun-filled celebration organized by both new and native Texans.
This family-friendly event is open to all and will have In-N-Out and BBQ food trucks; vendors, dance lessons, bounce house, a photo booth, military recruiters, police vehicles, a Texas history speaker, and the grand finale – a large group swearing-in, the highlight of the event, of all new Texas residents by the local county sheriff. Attendees will receive a certificate and an honorary Texas citizen card. Although no true Texan swearing-in exists, this event has created one for fun.
Because of incredible sponsors, we have been able to keep ticket prices low.
Native Texans are asked to attend and mingle with these new Texans as “Ambassadors” to share their experiences and advice. Tickets include general admission and the choice of either an In-N-Out or BBQ meal with chips and a drink.
