The Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education department is pleased to offer a series of American Sign Language (ASL) classes beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5th. The classes will be held at Jo’s coffee shop in downtown Mount Pleasant and they will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone who has ever thought about learning sign language,” Jimmy Smith, NTCC Director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training said. “We are excited to offer this class at Jo’s so people can learn in a more casual, social environment.”
A beginners class will be held September 5th through October 12th and an intermediate class will meet from October 12th through 21st. The cost is $90 per class.
