UPSHUR COUNTY ROAD ENGINEER

Upshur County, Texas is accepting applications for the position of County Road Engineer. Qualifications include experience in road construction and maintenance and the qualifications required by the Texas Department of Transportation for its District Engineers OR must have had experience in road building or maintenance or other types of construction work qualifying the person to perform the duties of the position.

Duties include but are not limited to the operation of the Upshur County unit road system, maintenance of approximately 665 miles of County roads, supervision of road crew foremen, overseeing County precinct barns with inventories of County equipment and materials, purchase of road equipment and materials. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
