The City of Gilmer will hold a public hearing at Gilmer City Hall, 110 Buffalo, Gilmer, Texas, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, 5:15 p.m. to discuss the proposed budget for fiscal year 2023-2024. This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $85,665.00 (3.88%), and of that amount, $51,613.00 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. The city encourages citizens to participate in the discussion of the budget and to make their views known at the public hearing. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views to Kimberly Smith, TRMC, MMC, City Secretary, at the Gilmer City Hall. Handicapped individuals wishing to attend this meeting should contact City Hall at 903-843-2552 to arrange assistance if needed.
